LonMID M100: First PDA Phone That Use Netbook Processor

A PDA phone prototype that use Intel Atom as processor has been released. A company called NFS has make the PDA phone, it is called LonMID M100. LonMID M100 currently still in the stage of prototypes and the launching date & price still unknown at this time. Intel Atom processor is usually used in netbook. But now the processor is used into the phone.

LonMID M100 PDA phone has tablet design with dimensions 6 x 3.5 x 1 inches, similar with PDA Sony Clie PEG-UX50 or Dopod 900. Although LonMID M100 as a unique handset, it is still a traditional phone. LonMID M100 has a numeric keyboard & 2.4-inch panel at top of it to send an SMS or make phone calls quickly.

The main screen as internal screen has size 4.8-inch, has 800×480 pixels resolution. Plus Intel Atom Z500 800MHz as processor, 512MB RAM & 4GB SSD storage. Other features include the bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, MicroSD card slot and USB connectivity.

LonMID M100 has very fast booting, because LonMID M100 use Midinux (based on Red Flag Linux) as operating system.

    I believe this pda can make a hit sale in Indonesia…if it still the same price or under the price of netbooks (currently +- US$ 400) in Indonesia…
