Dell Thunder Prototype: Only Uses LCD & 1 GHz Snapdragon Processor
The presence of Dell Thunder as Android phone with 4.1 inch screen is increasingly clear. Dell Thunder will uses Snapdragon 1 GHz as the processor. And if previously we said that Dell Thunder will uses OLED technology as the screen, it was wrong and the fact it only uses LCD screen (same as the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10). But maybe it will change because it is only a prototype.
When we see the design and shape of Dell Thunder, it is very similar to Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, except the silver color. The existing camera in Dell Thunder has 8 MP resolution with LED light and 4x digital zoom feature. But there is something interesting in Dell Thunder screen, the glass that used on the screen of Dell Thunder has curved shape (not flat) and we think we do not see the benefit of the curved glass. In fact, it’s so hard to see the screen at different angle.
And unfortunately Dell Thunder only uses battery with capacity 1400 mAh (whereas Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 has battery with capacity 1500 mAh and 2 days active only). About the network, it looks like Dell Thunder can be used for both GSM and CDMA but this remains uncertain. While the OS, the existing prototype (there are two pieces), one still uses Android 1.6 and the other uses Android 2.2 (Froyo). See the photos for more details.
