Mysterious Handset with Firefox OS & ARMv6 Processor Appears at CES 2013


Android and Windows 8 are two OS which continue to dominate the celebration of CES 2013 today. But the presence of another platform that developed by Mozilla does not seem to be dismissed. Latest platform from developer of Mozilla browser which known as Firefox OS reportedly will be more targeted to the availability of low cost devices and more affordable.


A hot news that circulated in internet said that the first device will be made by ZTE. And the handset which based on Firefox OS that has been demonstrated looks so similar to ZTE V788D which has been released in China. Although device only uses the low end features, but the first handset based on Firefox OS is reportedly been backed by the power of ARMv6 processor and 256 MB of RAM. In addition, this smartphone also features a 3.5-inch screen with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and a 5 MP camera.

Since Firefox OS synonymous with the existence of HTML5, it’s certainly much better than other devices with the same specifications on other platforms. While about the availability and price of the device, unfortunately the Mozilla apparently still not willing to inform it so far.
