Samsung Announces Exynos 5 OCTA, It’s 8 CORE Processor! 2X Faster than Exynos 4 Quad

No doubt, Samsung is one of world’s greatest manufacturer of electronics and gadget. After “mastering” the smartphone and phablet market, this time Samsung also presents a breakthrough for the components of the “core” of the mobile devices, it’s 8 CORE processor! & named Samsung Exynos 5 OCTA. It’s not a new thing for Samsung to present Samsung’s own processor, but a breakthrough in the number of cores that reached 8 is a great breakthrough and of course it’s a good news for the gadget lovers at the beginning of 2013. Samsung announced the latest generation of mobile processor at CES 2013.

But the number of cores is not composed of the same type of core, but there are 2 kinds of cores: ARM Cortex-A15 and Cortex-A7 which each core has 4 cores. The using of Cortex A-7 are intended to reduce energy consumption by 70% compared to Exynos 5 Dual. With the presence of this processor is certainly more smartphones can handle multitasking and multimedia processing such as HD video and 3D games which are more realistic and complex.

Samsung Exynos 5 OCTA processor has 3D performance two times faster than its predecessor the Samsung Exynos 4 Quad which used by the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and has used big.LITTLE technology from ARM.
