Finally, Mozilla officially showed Keon – the first smartphone with Firefox OS in it. And for now, this mobile phone is intended for developers with very basic features. As a first step, Mozilla working with Telefonica and Geeksphone. In addition, according Geeksphone, the Mozilla also released another model, it’s named Peak. Keon has a specification that is not too special like the Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 1GHz processor, 3.5-inch screen with a resolution of 480 x 320 pixel, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory, 3MP camera, 1580 mAh battery, GSM and HSPA, microSD, microUSB, sensor light and proximity, GPS and G-sensor.
Meanwhile, Peak comes with a screen measuring of 4.3 inch with 960 x 540 pixel resolution, a dual core Qualcomm Snadpragon S4 1.2GHz processor, 8MP camera, 512 of RAM and 1800 mAh battery. However, the operating system Firefox does not require high hardware to work optimally. Firefox OS is built based on HTML5 and other web programming languages​​. So, it is a web application that designed to run as native applications.
