Nokia finally officially announced that they will be no longer produced Symbian mobile phone. And, the last Symbian phone from Nokia that came to the market is the Nokia 808 PureView with 41MP camera. Nokia announced this in their announcement of financial statements in the last quarter of 2012. So, we are no longer going to see a new Symbian device launched by the Nokia.
“In the transition to Windows Phone in 2012, we continue to sell Symbian based devices. Nokia PureView 808, a device that shows the capabilities (technology) of our imaging and has been marketed in mid-2012, is the last Symbian device from Nokia, “Nokia said in a statement.
Symbian operating system became an important thing for Nokia. In recent years, Symbian is the core for mobile phones from Nokia. Some Symbian phones which gained rave attractive in the market include the Nokia 9210 Communicator, Nokia E61 or Nokia N8.
