As new comer in smartphone world, Ubuntu still does not have its own App Store so far. This is certainly 360 degrees different from the presence of other platforms that had already had its own App Store. One of the Canonical product manager, Richard Collins also aware of it. Because despite of the Ubuntu smartphone is a simple device, but that does not mean the device does not need the presence of the App Store.

And even with adhering to the strategy of go-to-market of its first product, Canonical still believes that one day Ubuntu smartphone own its App Store specifically to accommodate the availability of applications for the Ubuntu.
